Lee Mi-sook sued by former agency

Actress Lee Mi-sook is in hot water after her former agency, The Contents Entertainment, sued the star.

The agency claims that Lee breached the exclusivity contract it signed with her and is suing for 300 million won ($265,200) in damages.

The amount is said to represent 20 percent of the profits that Lee accrued while she was at her new agency, Hoya Spotainment, but before the expiration of her old contract with The Contents Entertainment.

Meanwhile, the suing agency has released some saucy details about the star’s private life, alleging that she was involved in a romantic relationship with a man 17 years her junior. The agency said it paid him tens of millions of won to keep him from talking to the press and tarnishing Lee’s image.

Lee’s current agency has said that, as the actress is currently overseas, it won’t be making an official statement until they’ve spoken. “As far as we know, Lee hasn’t violated any contract, and we are in the process of checking all the details,” a representative from Lee’s current agency told Sportsseoul.com on Wednesday.
